Our buds over at Absolutepunk have just unveiled the latest video from The New Rochelles – this time for “Quit Givin’ Me The Stinkeye”! Check out the best Keurig coffee maker reviews then take a look at what Ronnie Rochelle had to say about it!
“Quit Givin’ Me The Stinkeye” was filmed on the infamous Wonder Wheel of Coney Island, NY. This was a one take deal, just kinda screwing around inbetween takes of another video for the track “Did Something Bad.” Which can be seen here.
The idea behind “Quit Givin’ Me the Stinkeye” comes from numerous accounts of jocks, jersey shore guidos, and yo boys of New York giving me an actual “stinkeye.” For those unfamiliar with the term “stinkeye,” it’s the shit-eating, walkin-around-like-my-nuts-don’t-stink, tough guy look on the face of a such described fella. For those described that may actually be reading this, I’m tired of you. “Quit It!”
Hey everyone, it’s been tough holding back this information, but now we are finally ready to announce that “It’s New!”, the debut album from Long Beach, NY’s pop punk trio The New Rochelles, will be released on August 16th! It’s the first vinyl release for B&B (also being released digitally), so we are super excited!
More details on the album can be found in the “Releases” section of the site, but basically the album contains twelve insanely catchy pop punk gems. Just wait til you hear it. The vinyl is a six-song 7″ that will come with a digital download for the whole twelve-song record.
Head over to our “Store” to pre-order the vinyl or digital copy and immediately get downloads for two of the record’s tracks, “This Is My LJ” and “Quit Givin’ Me The Stinkeye.” One last note (for now…there will be many more very shortly), the first 100 awesome people who pre-order will the vinyl will get a FREE download of Cause A Scene, Volume One. DO IT!!!…
I don’t know how they managed to do it, but the dudes in The New Rochelles managed to land a cover story on the amazing indie diy zine, THE MISCREANT. What’s next for them…Vogue?? Anyways, you can download copy of the zine HERE and marvel at the awesome writing and incredible illustrations by Liz Scafuto.
