Our buds over at Absolutepunk have just unveiled the latest video from The New Rochelles – this time for “Quit Givin’ Me The Stinkeye”! Check out the video then take a look at what Ronnie Rochelle had to say about it!
Hey kids,
“Quit Givin’ Me The Stinkeye” was filmed on the infamous Wonder Wheel of Coney Island, NY. This was a one take deal, just kinda screwing around inbetween takes of another video for the track “Did Something Bad.” Which can be seen here.
The idea behind “Quit Givin’ Me the Stinkeye” comes from numerous accounts of jocks, jersey shore guidos, and yo boys of New York giving me an actual “stinkeye.” For those unfamiliar with the term “stinkeye,” it’s the shit-eating, walkin-around-like-my-nuts-don’t-stink, tough guy look on the face of a such described fella. For those described that may actually be reading this, I’m tired of you. “Quit It!”
I don’t know how they managed to do it, but the dudes in The New Rochelles managed to land a cover story on the amazing indie diy zine, THE MISCREANT. What’s next for them…Vogue?? Anyways, you can download copy of the zine HERE and marvel at the awesome writing and incredible illustrations by Liz Scafuto.
